"I needed a new ring gear and battery on my '79 Cadillac....and after that was done, a few other things got repaired along the way, with no charge. I was very happy with their attention to details. I think they could spot problems like an eagle following a mouse in a field at long distance, it seems. There were other things that I can have done, but they wouldn't go ahead without my permission......leaving it for another time. They were very honest and to the point. If they needed a bit more time, or were very busy, they let me know.
Steve, the owner.....is very knowledgeable, and thorough. He takes pride in doing a good job for you, and it shows."

"I cannot say enough good things about Righetti Automotive. I was referred to Steve Righetti 10 years ago when another auto repair shop could not, after repeated visits, fix a problem with my car. Steve found the problem in 10 minutes. Since then, my whole family has continued to use their services to great satisfaction. Steve, Bill and Roger are all superb mechanics, especially good when it comes to solving difficult diagnostic issues. Steve has gone out of his way to find the best and most inexpensive parts available for my car. They are good at explaining what they do and are totally honest and trustworthy. They will save you time and money in the long run. Highly recommended!"

"I've been coming to Steve Reghetti and Reghetti Automotive for more than 10 years. I used to live nearby in Mill Valley....but I continue to use Reghetti exclsuively even though it's a 40 mile drive from Orinda! First with my BMW, then my Explorer Limited and now my Mercedes SL500.
Steve is first and foremost *honest*. But beyond that valuable character trait, he's simply the best diagnostic mechanic I have ever known. Give him the chance and he'll figure out the problem and find a low-cost solution. His idea of a basic oil change is to check every fluid under the hood, give the engine a careful listen for anything I might ignore with the radio blasting away, give the tires and air pressure a check and charge me a fair price for that oil change only.
His attention to preventative maintenance has saved me thousands of dollars and kept my cars reliably on the road. On more than one occasion, if I had taken my SL500 to a Mercedes service department instead of to Reghetti, the bill would have likely been been literally triple or more in costs.
Steve is friendly, talented, dependable and we've grown to be friends over the years. Actually, every time I visit Steve there are always "customer/friends" getting their cars serviced.
His shop is tucked away on Kerner but definitely worth looking for!"
